GEMB has no customer relations with their customers
I have a boat loan with GEMB Lending for the past 5 years, their customer service dept. have no scense of resolving matters, I have asked them for something so simple as a form of authorization, for the past year I have yet to receive. The customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. they seem to have the attitute of forget the customers that they have made money on and make it difficult for them, to see how much more money we can get from them, not resolving matters on the only form of communication, their telephone.
GEMB would rather lose money than keep a good customer
Called to find out how much interest we paid in 2010 and was informed my trailer was up for repo because we filed bankruptcy in Dec. Our bankruptcy attorney was never notified that they intended to stop processing payments and were giving us 2 options: 1. surrender the trailer or 2. pay off the loan balance in full. We had NEVER been late or missed a payment and we do owe more than the trailer is worth. Yet the company made the ridiculous decision to lose money and repo the trailer rather than let a great customer continue to pay their monthly payments. Our bankruptcy attorney even said he has never in all of his years as a bankruptcy attorney witnessed a company take this sort of action before. I am echoing the statements of others before me, DO NOT FINANCE ANYTHING THROUGH GEMB!!!!!!
GEMB Lending won't mail out my interest reporting form
I went through a bankruptcy this past year and my debts were discharged. GEMB lending would not allow us to reaffirm our loan because it is their policy to not do that. I have been paying on the loan on time. I was gathering up my tax information to file taxes and realized I never got my form from them. I called them and got the worst customer service I have ever received and I was told I would not get that form because they can not mail me anything. The bankruptcy is discharged so that no longer applies but they say it is their policy. I asked if they could tell me the reporting amount of interest. They gave it to me. I asked how I can go about getting my hands on the form and they transferred me to another department that also gave me the interest reported amount and it was different. Then told me I had to request the form in writing but that I may not get it still. When I asked why I was just told 2 different amounts they couldn't answer me. Their policies don't sound legal to me. That interest form is legally mine if I am not in default of the loan. Supposed to be mailed out by 1/31 and it hasn't. I could not get one of their employees to understand how wrong this was, one of them actually asked me to fax them something in writing from the IRS stating it has to be mailed by 1/31. I couldn't believe it!
GEMB in Reston, Virginia - *** service!
GEMB will hound you for a payment relentlessly. You get to a point where you either chose your mortgage or you RV...we choose our mortgage. Now when we can make a payment, they don't want to take & they then try to twist your words around. If I could find someone else to take this loan over, I would. I would never recomment GEMB to anyone. They harrass you, but then don't want take your calls or your money. They are too quick to want to repo. Shame on them in this economy. They will get theirs hopefully.
GEMB is the worst company out there
GEMB Sucks -- always has. But once I was locked in with them there was no getting out. They do not have any website to manage your account. They only do payment books.... I haven't had a payment book since the 90's. Their customer service is poor....very poor. Super long waits. auto promts that just disconnect. Transfers from one department to the next and to the next. They even tried to repo our boat when it wasn't even behind. Stay away from this company ... unless of course you want a lot of hassel. -- Just look at the web all kinds of bad stuff about'em

GEMB in Sandusky, Ohio - Highway Robbery
Ordered windows from Sears and was financed by GEMB. It does not matter how much we pay over and above the amount stated on the bill, the balance only goes down occasionally. We hit a rough patch last month and paid the amount due, normally we pay much more, all went to interest an nothing our balance is higher than last months. We would love to join this law suit. Enough is enough, this theft must be stopped. GEMB to me are licensed thieves. This is the only company I know that will not give you a breakdown of you bill, how long it will take to pay if you pay just the minimum and the total amount you will have paid if you make the payments stated on the monthly bills. Thieves, thieves, thieves.
GEMB has lousy customer service
I have a camper loan thru GEMB and in 8 years only one payment was 8 days past the 30 day limit due to a medical emergency. It now shows up as the only negative on my credit report until 2016. According to the company they do not have a one time forgiveness policy as violates Federal Law (a flat out lie). This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They call at all hours demanding their money if it is 2 days past due, and are more than willing to screw up your credit if you are late.
GEMB in Reseda, California - Won't send out payment book or payment request
We have a Monico product financed by GEMB Lending that we made our payment on for 8 years strait without missing a payment. We changed bank accounts 6 months ago and no longer have auto pay set up. I have requested them to send a payment book like we had at the start of the loan with the original lender but one representative says it is coming and the next one says they don't send out payment books. All they want to do is argue over the phone as if they want to take our motorhome away from us. we have tried to contact them sever times to request a payment book and have had no luck. I would not suggest using this company for any loans!
